Choosing an alternative provision for your school can be difficult, you need to know can we work alongside each other, do we have the same goals for each individual student, what is the cost going to be, will the student benefit from this alternative provision?
We can help engage with so many students and would love to say all students buy into what we are trying to achieve with every school, however, there are exceptions to the rule, but we do help and decrease the chances of a student being permanently excluded, which will give any school a huge cash saving. Students who may struggle with the mainstream timetable may need some hours or days away to help the school and that particular individual, average costs for this type of intervention runs into the £1000's of pounds for that one student. Sometimes these courses break down due to the distance they need to travel.
Now imagine the student working from the comfort of their own home, following the school learning cycle, with online tutor support, the school monitoring all progress the student is making, Options available for functional skills or GCSE pathways, this young person can have there very own individualised learning pathway. Schools certainly benefit, not only from the increased chance of engagement, increased chance of attainment but also the reduced cost of a standard alternative provision.
An additional benefit will be reducing teacher workload with EDLounge staff marking work and giving feedback. Schools have complete charge over the alternative provision and what students are learning, and better still students can be online in minutes.
With our online teaching and tutor support and our customisable gaming and learning environment, over 8500 lessons, puzzles and tests, and access to hundreds of learning pathways, or even bespoke built learning cycle pathways reflecting your own school. EDLounge can help:
- Engage vulnerable students
- Reduce exclusions
- reduce incidents in school and especially in isolation units
- Offer structured pathways, diagnostic tools and milestones for every learner
- Provide resources and learning materials that are specific for all learners in isolation and off site provisions
- Raise standards of behaviour
- Provide the 6th-day provision
- Reduce the cost of the alternative provision

This enables a structured pathway to be followed so that the student succeeds, learns and progresses whilst simultaneously supporting you to diffuse any situations or problems.

We can offer support to any individual, whether they be on or off-site. All of our support officers are uniquely trained to have extensive knowledge and understanding of the EDLounge lessons, system, qualifications, methodology, exams, coursework and practical elements. An exclusive pre-assessment, assessment and feedback service is available for the students, which will help them understand, learn and progress through EDLounge.
Support is offered to students from our Support Officers whilst on or off-site with a thorough and robust safeguarded supervised provision. The students would be able to ask for and receive help, feedback, comments, and direction from our support members, ensuring all students can progress within EDLounge.
This facility enables us to further support students and the needs of those involved with these individuals in furthering their education. The difference between this and our normal support is that there is more supervision used for the students learning off-site. This approach can dramatically improve your students’ attendance and achievement.
