EDLounge is an online e-learning, assessment, qualification and management system designed to assist and improve your Alternative Provision. Learners have core, vocational and academic content and qualifications available with Live Virtual Support within school hours
Any learner can follow a structured and personalised learning, homework, revision or coursework pathway with extensive reporting and monitoring
We are proud to launch our online support so that we can cater for all of your Alternative Curriculum students and the needs of the teaching assistants, senior leadership and parents who are involved with these individuals. The difference between this and our normal support is that there is more supervision approaches used for the students learning off-site. This approach can dramatically improve your students’ attendance.
Our online support system provides a great alternative provision for a range of your students which adheres to government safeguarding, well-being and supervision legislation. Within this provision you have a robust and comprehensive tool that not only offers support, but also offers tutoring, assessment, pre-assessment, verification, and expertise in any subject for any age group for those doing core, academic or vocational courses. We can also offer an alternative provision and give attendance grades whilst learning through EDLounge using our new methodology for the following students:
- Home educated
- School refusers
- In inclusion units
- One to one
- Target groups
- For those studying for a qualification
- Pupil Premium category
- Transition students with low literacy/numeracy
- Those submitting qualification coursework
- Students who are doing the BTEC qualification new exams
We can offer support to any individual that is on the system, whether they are on-site or off-site, irrespective of undertaking theory, practical, knowledge or academic lessons. All of our support officers are uniquely trained to have extensive knowledge and understanding of the EDLounge lessons, system, qualifications, methodology, exams, coursework and practical elements. An exclusive pre-assessment, assessment and feedback service is available for the students, helping them understand, learn and progress through EDLounge.
To help with the qualifications, a range of practice, live and mock exams are available for the students to prepare themselves for their next generation BTEC courses. We cater for every aspect of the new next generation BTEC courses and we offer a support mechanism for our students.
Support is offered to students in exclusion, home education, isolation or in inclusion from our Support Officers whilst on or off-site with a thorough and robust safeguarded, well-being and supervised provision which addresses government legislation for alternative provisions on/off-site. Students can ask for and receive help, feedback, comments, and direction from our support members, ensuring all students can progress through EDLounge. This is also ideal for low literacy/numeracy levels, target groups, school refusers and Pupil Premium individuals.
